
I'm sure that there must be an elegant solution, but I'm having trouble finding it. But it's an unwieldy solution at this point. I have had this issue before with reinstalling Mendeley and I always solved it by manually correcting problems.

Is there are solution for this? I am afraid to try syncing at the moment since it might propagate some of the errors on my local setup to my web account since the most recent changes were made in the desktop version. I don't want to go through and manually correct these problems. The problem is that I now have a bunch of files in the 'Needs Review' and 'Unsorted' folders in Mendeley Desktop and many of the entries my sorted folders appear to have incorrect fields or are missing the link to the associated pdf files. The files on my computer have not changed as of yet, which is good.
